Olashore International School, Iloko Ijesa,Osun state last weekend made remarkable and landmark contributions to the field of education. The school organized the Heads of School Summit, a program organized to revisit the issues with education in Nigeria.
The program tagged: “Holistic Education, A Transformative Approach To Learning” held at Royal Park Hotel, Oba Oladele Olashore Way, Iloko-Ijesha. It attracted the presence of academic gurus from all walks of life. They all agreed that without holistic education, the field of education would be in shambles.
The Commissioner Spoke at the summit:
Speaking at the event, Lagos State commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo, described education as a tool to progress,development, advancement, enhancement and emphasized on its totality to humanity.
Mrs. Adefisayo pointed out that, it is only through it, that every individual could develop their emotions, spiritual,psychological, mental and social capabilities strength that could make them to be holistic in life.

In his own submission, the Coordinating principal for the Association of International School Education of Nigeria and an Administrator at Oxbridge ,Mr. Ola Opesan, emphasized on how education is not negotiable in life. According to him,it is only education that could bring the totality in every individual. He further charged teachers and all stakeholders in the field to always embrace and practically teach their children the principle and practice of education that could make them to be holistic in life.
Our Principal not left out:
The principal of Olashore International school,Mr. John Toscano encouraged learners to make themselves available for learning and be curious to search for knowledge. Mr. Toscano stated that education is golden and he charged them to open their gate way of learning to learn new things every moment to become holistic beings in life.
The Board of Governors represented:
In his opening remark, The Chairman board of governors, Olashore International School, Prince Abimbola Olashore, said the heads of school summit is an avenue to discuss and debate the best ways to train our children in an age where social media awareness poses a challenge to cultural values.”
The Olashore international School Heads of School summit was a gathering of about 100 School owners, heads of school and stakeholders in the Nigerian education sector, to find lasting solutions to teaching and learning in Nigeria.
